About the Lab
The WRITE Lab is a three-day summer writing intensive hosted at UNT Health Fort Worth. Launched in 2025, the WRITE Lab brings together faculty, researchers, doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, and community partners to work on writing projects with personalized coaching and dedicated time to write.
Unlike traditional academic writing retreats, the WRITE Lab positions community partners as equal participants and co-creators in the dissemination of public health research, not as guests or subjects. Our goal is to build lasting capacity for co-authored, community-driven communication and to reshape who gets to write, publish, and shape public health narratives.
